About

My name is Lisa Hedvig, and I am a citizen of Denmark.I have chosen to work with titanium because of it's fascinating qualities, that makes it a very interesting material for jewelry. I make jewelry that has a classic note combined with the more modern treatment of material.

Titanium is a very light weight material, only half as heavy as silver, but is even stronger than steel. That widens the range of creative possibility. Furthermore it is very comfortable to wear as one hardly feels the weight of it. Titanium even has the ability of feeling warm against the skin, as opposed to other metals.

Titanium is a pure metal and therefore "non-allergenic". It comes in different alloys for different grades of strength. In addition it is also 100% stain resistant or stainless.

What makes titanium so fascinating besides what has already been described, is the ability to obtain different colours through either heat treatment or an anodizing process.

The colours is created on the surface of the metal, and range in colours from golden, bronze, purple blue pink and green.

I choose to only heat treat the titanium by using a torch. The heat also serves to strengthen the metal even further, and makes the colour more wear resistant.

All the jewelry is made by hand, using manual machines and hand tools. I make everything myself, except for the clasps and earstuds.

"Flower"

This model is "Flower". All is titanium, including the earhooks.

"Titan"

This model is "Titan". Earhooks are silver, the rest is titanium.

"Stardust"

This one is "Stardust". All titanium except earhooks of silver.

"Midnight"

This model I call "Midnight". It is all titanium, including the lock on the bracelet and the studs on the earrings. The stars are beadblasted, to give the colours a darker look.

"Sunshine"

Hello. This is my first blog-post presenting my handmade titanium jewelry. I work with titanium because it's a strong and light material, that has the extraordinary ability to change into many fascinating colours by heat treatment of the surface. The possibilities are endless for making some very different looks, as I will show you here.

This one is "Sunshine". It is polished, so I get as much "shiny golden" look as possible.
